Birds available and to be sold this year will be our famous “Campbell”, 1st of America Long Distance Champion (still fertile and sold with a mate his 2011 daughter). We will be selling many other great pigeons from our world famous champions: Hekkenklaks, Fireflights, Mr. Aristona, Super 73 Americans and our now famous “Million Dollar South Africa Family”. See our Birds For Sale page for ADL birds to be sold at SnowFest. Our birds have won nearly every big money race in America, and were 1st in China last year. Three different times in the South Africa Million Dollar Race they were in the top 100 birds, finishing last year 22nd overall and this was against over 6,000 entries from 35 countries. The previous year ADL won 1st Country Challenge Race in the South Africa Million Dollar Race.

Many lofts claim many wins but always look for the number of birds they were competing against when claiming their 1st place wins. Our families have proven themselves for Campbell Strange (the original America owner), Ken Christopher, Bobby Gonzales and Brad Hoggan just to name a few.

Please remember “One Good Bird Is Worth A 100 Maybe's".

As usual, the American Dream Loft, Mr. Jim Gabler has been active in philanthropy. On April 15, 2010, Jim donated 1/10 profit from his first auction in China to a school thru a local pigeon friend. 34 selected students received a new school bag and some cashes to help them buy the school supplies.

Jim said, as in the past forty years, we have been donated monies or pigeons to those who need help included individuals and groups. Our aim is not to promote these claiming credits for ourselves, but to arouse people's enthusiasm to society.

Sun City Million Dollar Race 2010

The bloodlines of Success!

By Frank McLaughlin
...

In 63rd position was ‘Nor Easter’ bred by Americas Dream Loft owned by Jim Gabler.  ‘Nor Easter’ is bred from a family of pigeons Jim calls the “Americas”.  This family is a blend of three famous Super 73 pigeons or Hekkenklaks.  Each of these three pigeons have won 1st of all America Long Distance awards for three different lofts.  One cock called ‘Smokin Joe’ was bred by Jim Richesin, a hen ‘Blue Lady’ bred by Lou Coletta and ‘Campbell’ bred by Ken Christopher.  Jim mixed the blood of these three pigeons and entered grand children to Sun City with excellent success.

Americas Dream Loft had two pigeons make it through the knockout competition and also had his pigeon ‘Eli’ win the Country Challenge.

Last year Borotto from Miami had the overall ace pigeon which was the #1 pigeon in 2009.  The pigeon was also part Gabler (Hekkenklak with the Zachte hen).  In 04' the last time this blood was entered into the race Gabler placed 63rd and 66th again with Hekkenklak and Super 73 blood.  Three of Gablers top 5 birds were Super 73's (Smokin Joe, Campbell and Blue Lady).  This blood was crossed onto the Hekkenklaks or Fireflights.  Everyone will see at the end of this article why there is a correlation with this bloodline and success at Sun City.

My comment last May on Nor Easter was “nice slate with bright yellow eyes”
.
...

Is there a secret to success in Sun City?  After writing this article I would say take a Van Loon based family and cross them onto another super middle distance family.  Send the solid colored offspring and hope for the best.  No matter what, the pigeon has to have extreme heart to score in the final race.

World of Wings is your depository for American history of all pigeons----when did you last view their web site? When did you last buy or sell a bird on their auction site? Do you support their gold band race?

If everyone would just send them some $'s what ever you can afford once a year even if only just one bag of feed (money preferred) this 30 year project could continue or just leave a few dollars in your personal will for the "world of wings"

I write now positive comments for a few to read as compared to the thousands of readers who read the negative comments found in an American national racing pigeon magazine. My glass is half full, how about you? Support the preservation of our pigeon history. Support your world of wings.

Proudly written, for saving our history of pigeons.
